Hi, I've got a bit of a problem with the sound quality coming from my record deck. I used to use two cd decks and never had a problem. However, since one of them died about 6 weeks ago I've been using a record deck. I was using it to only play records as my old laptop refused to play timecoded vinyl. This was fine but I recently treated myself to a new laptop and so decided to upgrade to the newest version of Cross. I was delighted to be able to finally used the timecoded vinyl, however the sound quality isn't the best by any means. It sounds really muddy, flat and the bass is WAY too heavy. To get any depth I have to turn up the high and mid gains right up and the bass right down. The channel I'm using with my remaining cd deck sounds amazing. The signal from the record deck is strong, at 100%, no stuttering, crackling or anything like that, its just, well, not all there. I thought it might be my stylus but as the signal is perfect I dont think this is the problem. I've been searching for an answer for days (being a bit stubborn and not liking to admit defeat!) but I give up. At the end of the day it's a hobby but it's seriously bugging me.
I'm running Cross in windows 8.1, I wondered at one point if it's a compatibility issue. Not sure about that either because it all seems to be working beautifully apart from that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
