Problem mapping jog wheel

Postby n2ma on 14 Oct 2013, 12:17

Hey guys,

i am having troubles mapping the jog wheels on a Numark ns 4. I chose the combo wheel in the mapping menu. then im touching and moving the wheel. Two commands appear. N2C CH2 and CC20 CH2. Bidirectional touch nees three parameters so I thought "touch" might do the job. I assigned the commands to touch and movement (i cannot remember the exact name of the second). Now the problem is that by adjusting sensivity and forward, backward i reached a point where i can either turn the music forward or backword but never forward when pulling the jog forward and backward when pulling it backwards. It is either forward or backward depending on the adjustments. I am sure that i am doing something wrong but I do not know what.

Similar Problem with the library scroll knob. I set the step on 1 but it either jumps 2 or 3 tracks in the list or it goes only one way (only down or only up). Any ideas?

For sure the mapping possibilities in Cross are fantastic - respect.

Thank you in advance,

I don't know the Numark NS4, but the N4 is mapped in Cross.
Did you try this built-in mapping before trying to make your own one?
I'm pretty sure it'll work.
