Audio Format - only AIFF available for audio recording

Postby DJ Kaze on 13 Oct 2013, 18:17

Ever since installing the Video Plug-in on Cross DJ, I am no longer able to save my recorded audio mixes in wav format, only AIFF. The Recording page in Preferences says, "Audio format settings are disabled due to video recording." However I'm only recording audio. The video plug-in is turned off. Shouldn't wav and other audio formats be available in Preferences if the video plug-in is turned off?

What Cross and Video plugin versions are you using?

There's seems to be a bug here.

Try this:
- Enable the Video Plugin.
- Disable Video Recording.
- Disable the Video Plugin.
It should work.

FYI, this bug has just been fixed for the next release.
Thanx for spotting it!

I tried the suggestion you provided about turning on and off the video plugin, but it still isn't working.

When you say the bug has been fixed for the next release, do you mean 2.7 or an updated version of 2.6? If the fix is going to be in 2.7, I'll just wait for that to come out. But if the fix is in a new mini-update of 2.6, has that update already been released, or is it still in the works?

I went ahead and tried re-downloading 2.6 from the Download Center, just to see if that might resolve the issue. Unfortunately, when I go to the Cross DJ 2.6 download page and click on the Download link for MAC, I keep getting a notice that says I don't have permission to access the page. I tried logging out of the forum and logging back in, but it still won't let me re-download 2.6. I even tried getting into the forum by clicking on the link in the About Cross DJ window within the Cross DJ software. No luck.

Will be in 2.7 unless 2.6.1 is put out. They always version the updates, so any minor update to 2.6 would have an additional number if there were changes. The download issue is odd. I was able to access the DL without a hitch.
