Loading collection

Hello everybody,

I've recently downloaded MixVibes Cross to use with my CDJ-2000 nexus and DJM-900 set.
It all seems to work quite well, but I'm having some problems with loading tracks into my players.
If I try to load them, MixVibes freezes. Music keeps on playing, but the program isn't working for about 20 seconds when loading a new song.

For your information: I'm using a MacBook Pro 15" Retina and an external harddrive with 100k songs.

Am I doing something wrong or forget something?

I'd really like to use this program instead of RekordBox, but not if it hangs itself everytime when I try to load a song....

have you anylised the tracks that are hanging up Cross
have you imported the rekordbox data ie cues loops etc

Well...When trying to analyze the tracks he even hangs after every track for about a minute....
Then he starts analyzing the next track. After that, Cross quits and I have to restart.

need some info ,,as to system spec ,,set up ,,and whats running in the background ,,hard to tell whats wrong unless we know some more info,

Here are the specs of my laptop:

MacBook Pro Retina i7 2,6ghz
8gb RAM 1600mhz DDR3
512 gb SSD
OSX 10.8.4

There are no programs running except for Cross.
The external drive is a USB3 Western Digital 3tb.

I use the laptop for music only.

When trying to analyze all tracks (ctrl-a), Cross also stops and quits the program.

just curious as to what format the files are in

I've played a few gigs with my MBP 15" from 2009 and a pair of CDJ2000 and not having any problem. What format are you songs?
I mainly use 360 Kbs mp3 songs and it takes only a sec to load a song if it is not analyzed beforehand.
How do you add songs?

Most of them are regular mp3 (320kb/s), wav, mp4
No strange formats as I know..

Music works fine with traktor scratch pro

I import with: import directory, and then select the external drive

by chance do you have any files stored on the computers hard drive ,,if so have you tried loading/anylising them and see if its a issue with the external hard drive just a thought
