what I have noticed , I have limiter off, but I still get it behaving as if its limiting, and the gain is always sticking in relation to the channel LED on my Pioneer DDJSX, I move the gain and the level does not ajust a lot of the time and it also visually shows this, unless I turn my gain all the way down or up, maybe even a couple of times for it to start working as it should. overall I often see a delay in responding levels or them not responding, it can be compensated as I know its doing this, but it is vary strange considering I don't have limiter in use, I cant stand my sound being squashed obviously limiting will produce such behaviour one way or the other squashed or dragged up to meet with the auto gain. This has been bugging me for some time, sure I created a post in the past about this, but it not in my mind I promise that, and I can not connect it to dodgy tracks, it is always more often than not evident. All I can say its like limiter is still active.
I will keep my eye on this, not a lot else I can say, except maybe its like auto gain settings are automatically working maybe, activating limiter still, I presumed the auto gain settings would only work in conjunction with the limiter being on, or would only pre-set the levels to 0db or something, And the limiter would only work when levels are pushed beyond, or maybe not enough, as its a limiter not just compression alone, I can only guess on all this.

Thanks guys, will look into this stuff, maybe its the led on my controller in relation to Cross also, as they seem less responsive than traktor, and maybe the gain has something to do with the pick up/takeover mode, worth a look as well as what you suggest now I no what to rule out also. Thanks
