ION Discover DJ and update to 2.5.0 -- one deck no cue/play

searched quckly here in the forum but couldn't find concusive answers (well found several dead links).

My little girl will become 8 yo and as she likes playing with my gear (CDJ850s DJM850) I decided to give her a ION discover DJ controler so that she can play herself. She really likes it ;-)

I did find that the original (1.3.2.?) s/w was ... well limited a bit and I upgraded to Cross as suggested on this website.

I found out that with the original s/w I can (stutter)cue and lay OK; with the new version it seems something is wrong with the mapping.

The left "deck" cannot start a track, the right one does. If i start the right, th eleft cue and play leds will blink as if it's in sync with the playing track. But as said -- no way to start a track.

Revering back to the old version directly regains deck control.

What's up with this? Is there a bug in the mapping?

from the sounds of it it seems so ,,have you checked the the proper mapping is selected,,
moving this posting and its sisters to Cross teck support for more visability ,,,

woww ,briefly looked in the MIDI preferences for 2.5 ,,,,,didnt see a MIDI mapp for ion ddj ...will look in prior versions to see where the mapping for that unit stopped ,,,hate to say download a earlier ver to get some mapping compatibility to the ion,,,looked in the revamped MIDI mapping avaibility ,,and ion is not underlined ,,,, solution in progress

Just promise me to have it working approx a week before oct 31 as she's tunring 8 then and a working mapping would be cool ;-)

She's at "work" here. So I believe own stuff is a good plan ;-)

wait but dont delay ,,,got to keep her making the music ,, support staff doesnt come online till monday am french time ,, will look at earlier versions to see what avaible and also there is the possibility of a link that will be given for the proper mapping ,,, and welcome to mixvibes fourm

checked in version 2.4 ,still has a MIDI map avaible ,ver 1.4 ,, option to download that version of Cross and use the mapping 1.4 and see if that works ,,,

when you get to the point of having her proper mapping for the ion and she get in her groove ,,video it and post in vids section,, worthwhile too see a new musician,

Ok, I'll see if I can do that. I got 2.6 rc btw, does that one have the mapping?

I'd rather have it fixed instead of playing around as it hampers the upgrade paths.. ;-)
