I've had my U-Mix Control Pro for about 10 months now and just recently the sound quality has been poor. I play music from iTunes on my speakers and it sounds fine. As soon as I go to mix the sound becomes very crackly especially with the bass. Through headphones plug into the controller it is even worse. I've tried different headphones as well would could it be?
what has changed ,,sounds like latency issues ,, need more info as to set up ,computer spec and issues as to whats running in the back ground ,, doese you computer have a ram /cpu monitor and whats is it reading when the crackling occures , also what version of Cross DJ are you running need some info to help figure out whats going on
Windows 8 Running mix vibes 2.4.0 Updated to latest Firmware Runs off my SSD 120 GB I disconnect the internet when mixing so just a few programs like dropbox running. Don't think I have a ram / cpu monitor

not shure about win 8 ,,havent seen any issues on the fourm,similiar with win 8 ,,,,,in vista the is a performance monitor that indicates ram usage/cpu ,,,,there is a link from hannes with info regarding usb conflict issues and audio drop outs ,,,,, does the software running by itself with out the controller still have the same outcome

Speakers work just fine without the controller whilst playing from Cross. I had a go again and this time it was even worse with the controller. It played for about 10 seconds and the sound just cut out. It does have the tendency when opening Cross to not recognize the controller. I normally close Cross turn off the controller and plug it into another usb port and then it works. Don't know if that makes a difference.
Not the most technical of people, is that the part in the preferences to do with the buffer size?
Don't know if I have found a way around it. I turned down the output slightly on the U-Mix Control volume panel and that seems to be okay now. It does however make a constant humming noise coming out of the speakers.
