My program seems to have a virus.

The program seems to act weird, every time im about to hook up the HDMI cable to the monitor right when i plug it in for some reason it restarts the computer.
This has happend over 5 times. I'm trying to see if i can fix it somehow by messing with the projector settings and nothing works. What can i do to fix this?? I can mix mp3's no problem with just the laptop but it wont let me use turntables because for some reason it wont recognize them and the monitor to mix videos niether.
i need some serious help.

Sounds like a ground issue or a crossed wire in the cable or port to me. If it only does it when the cable is installed regardless of what programs are open, then that's your issue. Is that the case?

I agree, faulty hdmi cable/port is more than likely the problem.
Try a different hdmi cable first, if it still restarts the computer then the port is faulty. There is voltage on the hdmi line which will definitely restart the PC if it get's shorted.
