Is it possible to use a track marker as an end point?
For example if a track is 4m30s long but the last 45 seconds is just fade out, is it possible to set and end point before the end of the file?

If that makes any sense!

Why don't you just use a locator for this job? you need all 8 inside the track?

From the original suggestion I see this as being similar to setting the cue point for the start of a track. The cue point is a marker that says "start playing from here". The suggestion is that another marker can be placed that says "end here".

This would be very useful when using the Autoplay feature.

I use locators in various ways, and one is to mark where I might want to begin to manually fade out at the end of a track, but this wouldn't work in Autoplay.

Autoplay: are there any serious intentions to improve how this can be used? Example being able to toggle into autoplay mode whilst a track is already playing? (currently you have to stop playback before you can use it)

Nice point as the autoplay start from the stored 'Cue'.

Sure.

You can actually. Just select the other deck by clicking on the letter A or B near the [MIX] button.

Unless I've got it wrong, that unfortunately doesn't do it how I meant without disrupting the song that is currently being played :(

Scenerio:

Got a 4 minute song playing on deck A. I'm part way through but I need to step away from the laptop and I need to go now. I must keep the remainder of the deck A song playing as people are dancing.

I would like to be able to 'toggle/activate' Autoplay in a way that the current song can keep playing to the end (or its end-marker if that feature came!) and then the next track will load and play without me being there at the start of it.

The icing on the cake would be if there could be more controls how one track will transition to the next. Perhaps on a per-track basis (partially hence the end-marker idea). Crucial for myself is that each song is played in full (or maybe with an appropriate fade-out), then a very brief pause (e.g. one or two seconds depending on the songs) before the next song starts.

Now for your other scenario it is not possible.

End marker to indicate fade-out position.

I suppose it would be the last locators but should it be the #4 or #8 ?

Sorry for not replying sooner but what I've highlighted in the above quote sums it up perfectly... thanks!
