Suffering with Dropouts when using ASIO4ALL

Postby Mozza31 on 06 Apr 2013, 22:34

Hey everyone/Anyone. Bueller? Bueller?

Has anyone had the same problem as me when using Asio4all causing dropouts?

If I run the software with the Primary Sound Card as the output - No problems. Switch is to Asio and I get dropouts every 20 seconds or so.
I've got a USB soundcard as a secondary card for headphones, but it really does appear to be Asio that is the problem.

Any ideas? I'm starting to lose my will to live with it!

Cheers in advance

Thanks Daniel.
I've tried playing with the buffer rate and it seems to have no effect on the dropout at all. Disabled the internet and all the associated virus checking that goes with it but still suffering.
Only thing running in the background is the usual windows Processes.

System Specs are:
Dual Core 3.4Ghz CPU
4GiB Memory
1GB nVidia Graphics Card
Windows 7x64
Using Cross LE 1.3.2

USB I'll try removing everything that isn't essential later (webcam - already tried it with it disabled, printer, Joystick and Ipod charger) but there is nothing there I can see that should have an effect on it by rights?

Cheers for the reply, will let you know if removing everything works. It definitely seems to be a problem with ASIO though to me...
