Hello everyone.
I suppose it's going to be a long post and hopefully we can come up with some solution...
Before I start I may say sorry about my English. I try to make it as clear as possible.
First of all Im using Mixvibes Cross Pack with external mixer and turntables.
Turntable outputs are going into inputs of audio interface (U46 MK2). Other wires are leading from audio interface outputs to external mixer inputs. I guess that's all good. Mixer has only one output pair which are connected with speakers. Of course laptop is connected with U46 MK2. Laptop is Macbook Pro which has one input/output depends which I choose from System Preferences.
I also have external soundcard E-MU 0202 which is not in use while mixing, because it has only one left input...
Just to make it all clear, right?
Anyways I want to record my mixes. What are the possibilities here to record it in the same computer which runs Cross.
I can't use other outputs of mixer to lead it back to laptop because simply I just don't have other pair of outputs in my mixer.
Also the solution which I found from other topic was suggesting to record player A and player B. And then they could be layered afterwards in some program - it's not working for me, because it records everything even if it's not been selected from mixer to play from speakers. It still records if im trying to get it on beat for example or just listening while other player is playing out loud. And ofc while layering then it's all f***ed up....bit confusing, but hope you get it.
I tried also to connect mixer outputs to laptop instead of speakers and then to play music via E-MU 0202 soundcard which is connected with USB to laptop. But I can't get sound to the speakers that way.
Im sure I forgot to tell something important, but I tried to make it as clear as possible!
I really do hope we can come up with some solution for me!
Take care and enjoy music,
