Cross and CrossDJ ownership

Postby Alexkidd on 17 Mar 2013, 16:45

Not that it matters that much to me, but a couple of minutes ago the following question occured to me..
it mostly has to do with simple mathematics :mrgreen:

CrossDJ = Cross - timecode option =>
=> Cross > CrossDJ
=> why can't Cross user download Cross DJ as well? :cool:

Edit for clarity purposes: This is has meaning only if the timecode implementation in Cross wastes extra resources. If not don;t give any attention, i'm an ungrateful b**t**d

I guess because they are two different products and are sold that way ;)

Yes, simple math:

CrossDJ = Cross - Timecode
1 = 1.5 - 0.5

You need to pay 1 ;)

Cheers,
A plus,

:cool: if you have Cross ,and not use time code then the resources are not used ,,i think the difference is mainly for the price ,and giving the option to have a choice,,i think it answers the :?: if you only had Cross to purches and didnt want time code then you would be looking for a discounted price :idea: allievates that due to having a choice,dont see the reason for giving the Cross owners a Cross DJ or option to use it when they have it in Cross :eek: in Cross and Cross DJ you have the option of useing the vid plug in ,,,if you take that option then the reasources will be used to run that added on plugin :cool:
on the on set of me going to Cross went with the upgrade to Cross even though i knew i will never use t c control ,,just a enjoyable pastime in my life :cool: still went with Cross just to have the option :cool: i think the real question is do the two software differ in used resorces when only useing the MIDI control and not bothering with tc :cool: i think it doesnt ,,,mainly due to me trying to get ver 2.0 and 2.1 to run on my set up ,,compared between the two ,,Cross and Cross DJ ,, and the same outcome with both at that point :cool: just my thoughts ,not disuading or disagreeing ,, just curious as to the point of it :cool: :cool:

of course.. but the question is does Cross use more resources than CrossDJ when you're just using a controller?

It shouldn't as long as you don't have external control activated : reading and analyzing timecode stream and processing position based on this.
