Hello all, This is my first post, so be gentle I'm having no luck with running Mixvibes and Vfx controller. I realised that my problem is down to my HP laptop, which only had 512 MB of graphic memory. So I changed it to a Toshiba, but found out too late about that Mixvibes doesn't support Integrated Intel graphics cards. I've been looking up a few models and would like some advice on what to buy. I've looked at the following Toshiba L850D-12P Toshiba C850D-11Q Maybe you guys can help me out and point me to a laptop that works well with Mixvibes. Thanks all, Tony

It doesn't run at all or you have a warning message at start ? Because even if we don't officially support it, it can work, and some people here are working with it (even with the warning message) and asked us to remove the message because for them it is ok. (but we didn't remove the message)

Thanks for the replies I'm running the Vfx controller with the Vfx software that comes out of the box. I've upgraded to version 1.3.1. I want to run my show via the laptop, playing my video (vob, mpg and divx) files and mp3 files, preferably outputted via HDMI. With my current laptop (HP Envy sleekbook) there are no warnings, but the video quality is awful. There are major rendering issues on quick scene changes. I had put this down to a slow graphics card (Radeon with 512 Mb dedicated 1Gb shared) and decided to get another laptop. The one I got was a Toshiba P850-138 with a Nvidia GeForce GT630M graphics card. However, there's an Intel integrated graphics card for HDMI lurking in there and its that card that gives the error message. If I let the engine start, I get the same poor video issues as I had with the HP. If I switch to the GeForce graphics without disabling the Intel graphics, the width of the video intermittently jumps in. If I disable the Intel graphics completely, then I lose both the HDMI (as expected) and the VGA outputs. Would getting the Cross software help me, or am I better off just trying a new laptop. I really don't want to go down the desktop/rackmount route, because I'm trying to cut down on the size of my present rig. Thanks again, Tony

Ok now I got it.
For the 1st computer, did you try to adjust the quality into : Preferences/Video/Video resolution ?
But if you have tearing and artefact on the display it can be hardware (sometime drivers !!!) related.
For the 2nd computer, it is a well known issue. You need to force the computer to always run on the Nvidia. As simple as that. Changing device on the fly is never a good idea.

If you can seend me a link to just one of these file so we could check before, it would be wiser. So we could check if it is file or decoder related.
