question about the hardware

Postby radioViki on 12 Mar 2013, 17:20

Hello people
I use some time are a U-Mix Control Pro and am very satisfied.
The sound quality is right and find a general handling is OK, what bothers me are the small controls for the mic. For the knob I have a small lever can rotate (plugged for the controller) is now ok but the slide switch is not usable for me.
I did replace it with a switch or relay. The talk over function is not very satisfying! Can you provide me a circuit diagram about the Microfonplatine so I can realize my little project better? Sure I can also desolder the switch and measure to find out how he is busy.
Only it would be very helpful for me to find the right relay or switch .

thank you and best regards

Georg

I don't have a lot information on this but the attenuation is -14dB with the talk-over activated.
Would a picture of this circuit part could help you ?

Hei Hei, thanks for the answer!

yes, a little diagram would help me! Otherwise, I would have to disassemble everything to measure it, I would not destroy the board. :)

It is on a separate daughter board so there is no big risk.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to any schematic/diagram for this part.

For me, the microphone is best used on a separate mixer - I only use the Control Pro for music. Then again - as a KJ, I often run 4 or 5 mics together - I use a stage performance mixer for that! :D

The point I'm making is - keep your mics from the music! I actually use 2 mixers - one for mics and one for music - works well! :D
Summer is here! Only 4 things we need - cold beer, hot ladies, loud music, and more cold beer!

Yes KevMaveric that could also be looking for a good solution to the problem.
I have a blender, this is anyway connected to the MIC, and I could run over Terratc phase 26. Good idea, will try it.

I thank you for the tip !!
