Open a *.vibx file (Vfx collection file) via the Cross open menu.

thanks for your help. I have got the video plug in working and it seems far more stable. The playlists actually work!
A couple of issues;
-The output of the second (right) video is substantially darker than the first (left). I dont have any fx on, not sure what I'm missing there?
-In Vfx you could tag the file for "repetition" so that it just looped at the end of completion. How do you do that now? There is a loop button but that is just for the stored loops.
-Is there contrast/brightness settings yet?
-Is there syncable beat (1/4, 1/8 etc) and x/y control for fx?
I am struggling to find a manual and tutorials for the video plug in!

Check your crossfader or video fader position

You can't. Putting a loop from the begining to the end could do the trick and saving it.

Nope.

Might depend of the Vfx, some of them have a time parameter.

I answered that question at length.

"So I have tried adding a track, one at a time even, to the prepare tab, both via drag n drop and right clicking track, then selecting duplicate from the prepare tab and it maintains the order I added them in. I save the mediabase. Then I close Vfx and re open it. Now when selecting the same playlist, or even the prepare tab, the order is mixed up randomly.
I have tried creating a new playlist and right clicking tracks and adding them directly to the playlist.

Haha the Cross fader ! No that was not the issue. I play the same video file (tried different types etc) and the output was far brighter from Vfx compared to the video plugin. It is like the brightness has been turned right down. If this is a bug it makes the program unusable.

That is insane. Such a basic, simple and vital feature needs to be put into to the next update as a priority. So many of us will run 10 sec 3d animated clips that need to loop automatically. To expect clients to go through their entire video collection and manually set and save loops is unacceptable.

Nope.

Another basic vital feature that should have been in the first release.

So at this point I can't use Vfx as it is horribly unstable and crashes whenever it feels like it; and I can't use the video plug in as the output is way too dark. I bought Vfx with the controller and then Crossdj. What do you expect me to do now?

video issue ??

i just installed the Cross and video plugin without any difficulty.
and reconnected the Vfx.
currently absolutely everything works smoothly.

I did not put all my audio and video material to mediabase because i'm gonna do working copy in case of corrupt files .
I've had a bad experience with SERATO itch.
And Always TURN OFF 'allow tag changes' to be 100% sure .

I will have some questions about the recognition corrupt files
and some other issues related to the locator that seems a little late.
but I'll ask in a new post.


As for the video:
I put the same spot in both players.
files on the player and player B is identical.
as well as the output, which I've set to 1920x1080
output picture is perfect.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried installing Cross DJ on my MacBook and had the same issue with the dark output. I know it's not the videos as they are normal brightness with Vfx vs dark with Cross DJ.
I'm over it.
