Moving playlists between machines

Hi,

When preparing a set I'm currently setting up beatgrids, locators etc on my desktop PC, setting up a playlist, and then moving everything to my laptop for use in the venue.

My question is - is there an easy way of transferring playlists with all the associated files (playlist, mp3s, analysis/beatgrid/locator data). Currently it seems quite difficult, as I'm having to hunt around for different file types, and I never know if I'm copying over everything required. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong?

Well, the "easiest way" is to copy the:

- mp3s
- crossdb- file (consists of playlists, cue- pts.)
- peak folder (consists of the beatgrid, analysis of your mp3s)

to your laptop and let Cross relocate one mp3 to let it know where your new mp3 folder is located

Peak folder can be found User/AppData/Roaming/MixVibes/Cross

Not very easy, but i think its the only way to have your cue- pts., playlists and analysis transferred

Thanks! - it's good to know what I should be copying over - I feel a little more confident now!

Still I wish there was an easier way of importing/exporting set-lists with all these params.

I have just transfered all my data,peak folder and mp3's etc from my PC laptop to my mac but the locations I have set on my laptop havnt transered to my mac.

do i need to move another file or something????

spent 5 hours setting all the locators last night and dont want to have to do them all over again on 350 songs.


any ideas???????

Did you copy the .crossdb file and loaded this playlist on the other lap?
Than relocated the mp3s?
The playlist file saves the cue-pts.
Should be working, at least it did for me
