This is puzzling, however if I send an MP3 to MixMeister first, then it will always make the BPM value appear in Windows Explorer.

If Cross gets the file first or second, then something happens that always makes the BPM disappear from Windows Explorer.

Other tags e.g. Artist, Title etc can be edited and updated without a problem.

but as Mixmeister always has issue even before Cross analyze I have big doubt against him.

Not to mention that it is older than W7 and Cross. Still searching...

EDIT :
this time I have deleted all the BPM field (standard and custom) with mp3tag and re-analyzed with Mixmeister.
