Tried the 2.3.1 ?
C2D 2.4Ghz is on the low side but should work flawlessly.

Btw, the new 2.3.1 STILL messes up when I play two of the same tracks. The channel lifts up by itself and the cue is heard live. :/ I know...who extends two of the same tracks. I do, lol, can't break that old school vinyl habit.

If it does, that mean your cue is also routed to the same channel as your main/master.
Check your audio settings, or post them...
