I'm having many issues with the new Cross 2.3 update.
Many times the tracks suddenly overload even with the limiter on. Also, I notice when I cue a record, sometimes the cue gets recorded as if I have the channel up on mixer for cue. Meaning, the cue will get played live. This is unacceptable.
Also, the program crashes and freezes at times and the slowing us heard. Moreover, Cross will not play a track that has not been analyzed immediately.
I'm afraid of using this software live now because overloads are dangerous in major club systems. I never had this problem with other Cross updates.
I use Hercules Rmx at home and CDJS, and the problem happens on both players.
Btw, I use MacBook Pro, and I never had these issues until 2.3. I don't know what to do. It's clearly a software issue.
Please help!

1: Locate the settings-file and datbase and move them to your desktop for backup
2: Open Cross, it will now create a new settings-file and database.
3: analyse all your tracks
ALso what interface do you use?
Omg, I don't know what interface I use...

djegun wrote:Hi can you post the crash reports here please? When the software crashes, please click on 'Report' and copy the text in a document. Then post it here. You can also find them in the Library folder (To locate the Library folder, choose 'Go to Folder' from Finder’s 'Go' menu and type:~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/).
I will try to do this next time. I am reading similar comments about the sound going really high for others...I am hoping for a patch/update for this matter soon.

Sorry, this all sounds too confusing to me. Clearly, I'm not too software literate.

Ok, the play today was much better...I noticed when I played two of the same songs, the cue would not be heard for a few seconds, and the sound will come on. It didn't do the live cue thing. Not too sure what's going on. Btw, limiter was OFF not on, so maybe there will be no excess overloads in the future.
Thanks for responding, guys.

Ok, so I just heard recorded mix, and there IS a problem when I play two of the same tracks...when I cue the other track it overloads and the cueing is recorded; meaning, it is heard live. I tried this method with two other tracks--playing the same track to extend the song--and the same overloading issue happens. Seems like software is confused as to why two of the same tracks are playing. PLEASE investigate this issue.
Thanks...

Also, at times, the software slows down when I click on other tabs, and the stall is heard LIVE. I quit all applications on laptop to free up memory, but the problem persists. I turn off sync meters and other visuals because it seems as if the program might be too complicated for my Mac.
I don't know if this can be used live, guys. It's too risky.
