Here's a link to download the collection and iTunes files. Hopefully it helps.

Also, just for an FYI, the collection that I uploaded is the same collection that I was using during my stint with 2.3.0, but was remade for 2.2.0.

Seems that the use of special typo is doing this.

No kidding? Well, glad you guys found it. I can resume using 2.3.0 then as long as I don't name any playlists "*" or "@" ?

I use * in my tags to denote my style music, and @ for club/pop music. It makes sense that this would be causing the crash, cause it wasn't until 2.3.0 that I named the playlists "*" instead of "hot" or whatever.

Is it just the playlist name that's causing it? I can keep my tags the same as long as I rename the playlist?

Need to check deeply but this is already a case.

Yep, this is always the ol' god damnit code which does not accept "*" for a playlist, even if you can name it so !

Anyway, it's very old, so expect to have a crash in every previous Cross version with a folder named as "*" (maybe not in Cross 1.5 though).

Nevertheless, this should be fixed for the release of Cross 2.3

Thanks again for the info

The Odd thing is, it hasn't crashed my 2.2.0, at all. Almost seems like the delay in loading stuff prevents the crash, and when you sped up the loading in 2.3.0, the problem showed up. I'll give the 2.3.1 RC a try after renaming those smart folders to something that's not weird ASCII.

Simple way to crash your 2.2.0, just select your smartlist !Hot within your * folder.
Switch to iTunes pane, and go back to your Collection.

Pretty efficient ;)

i had similiar problem yesterday with my PC and it occured right after i opened crossdj... crashed 3 times when i selected my music folder but no crash logs or anything just that there wasnt response from Cross... then i used history to get my songs shown and no crashes. I hope it was just my windows f*cking and not crossdj :)
