Hello,
I was using Cross DJ 2.2.0 with my CDJ-350 and I've chosen to migrate to Cross for 2 reason:
1) I wanted to style use the comfort of MIDI control deck but add an external sound card to my system to bypass the sound card of the CDJ-350 that doesn't seams 100% reliable after I few bad experiences (rare but annoying).
2) I want to have an alternative configuration using timecoded CD in case I've to play outside on various CD player (or turntable maybe) and could bring my own CDJ. Indeed it would be ridiculous to bring CDJ-350 if like CDJ-1000 that have no MIDI capabilities, or even a CDJ or controller witch I don't have the opportunity to test the mapping before.
So I get a Cross Pack of course, because I was pretty happy with Cross DJ.
I've followed the instructions of the manual: - check if there is a new version on the website, of course there is Cross 2.2.0, install the new version. - Before lauching Cross plug the U46MKII - launch Cross, enter licence kex - Go to audio settings and problem n°1 ... no ASIO driver for U46DJ...
Next try: - Uninstall Cross 2.2.0. Uninstall the U46MKII within device manager. - Installing Cross 1.5 from the CD - Open Cross ASIO driver OK - Installing Cross 2.2.0 (withou uninstalling 1.5) driver ASIO ok - Playing with timecoded CD -> OK for my second option, let's try the first one.
- Desactivate control deck, plug-in CDJ-350 as MIDI controllers - Set the MIDI mapping of CDJ-350 - Set the audio output on ASIO U46DJ - Press play => horrible laggy sound - Increase latency to maximum, a little less laggy but still very laggy and un-usable - Choose Pioneer ASIO CDJ (bypass the U46MKII to have sound directly to DJM), working fine like I used to mix for one year.
Next move, update drivers: - Try the new driver provided within the download center (3.0 for Windows 7) - Go to Cross Audio settings and I see 2 ASIO driver but none are working now. If I load a track: "unable to load track, check audio settings"
Next move, ASIO4all: - Uninstall Cross 1.5, Cross 2.2 (I keep Cross DJ 2.2 btw) - Uninstall all driver in device manager - Uninstall Mixvibe U46MKII driver from control panel - Clean registery with Ccleaner - Install Cross 2.2 - Install Asio4all - Install U46MKII ASIO driver 3.0 (from download center) - Again unable to load media, check audio settings...
Now I'm really stuck. I'm very familiar with Windows and usually I don't have any problem to install and configure advanced hardware and software, but here I just don't understand what's happening.
What is the best way to clean everything and install just what I need in the good order ? The last ASIO driver for U46MKII, Cross 2.2.0 and that's all ? If possible without removing Cross DJ has it's still working and I need to keep it working until my installation of Cross and the U46MKII will be stable and tested.
Thanks for any help, Best Regards

Uninstall everything again, use CCleaner and afterwards install the audio driver FIRST and into a DIFFERENT location on the harddisk! For example has it formerly been installed to C:\Program Files\ESI\Audio install it to C:\Audio or something.
1. audio driver
2. Cross
3. MIDI etc.

Thanks for the help, I get the 3.5 driver from ESI. I uninstaller everything I found (including Cross DJ), I've deleted AppData fro Mixvibes and run Ccleaner registery.
Then install ESI driver, plug the sound card when asked, and then install Cross 2.2.0. But it's still not working. It's like I gest no sound from the input. But if I do a DigitalWIRE from input to ASIO output (ESI control panel) I get the sound from the timecoded CD in my mixer...
So it's very strange... the more strange is that it worked once but it's no more working now.

which usb-controller does your notebook have?
From what he is saying this really sounds like the common issue ... I bet it's a Sandy Bridge :-/ damn...

Hope it's not a hardware problem...
I've got a Sony Vaio VPCF11M1E Intel Core i5 M520 @ 2.40Ghz 4GB RAM, it's just before Sandy Bridge.
Here are a few screenshots.
I hope that the solution is not to buy another sound card... I would be very sad. But I could buy extra RAM if suitable (I should any way, it's quite cheap).
