It's together with the Chipset from Intel, the CPU I think. Indeed. I realized that too, the recording you get is without drop-outs. And, sure, if you do not do anything and just play a track back, everything sounds fine. But this is a Mix-Software 
I just wanted to make certain that we're comparing like-for-like problems, that's all. It appears that we are! <high-five!>

hey guys. i read most of your comments and i have the same problem, but i'm using Cross on a macbook pro. and the gaps occur even when the U-Mix Control Pro (1) is unplugged. i really hope we find a solution for this no more live mixing using Cross  at least for now.

You have cut into the audio with what soundcard ?

I work using a late 2011 mac with : processor - 2.4 GHz intel core i5 memory - 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 i'm running a mac os x lion (10.7.5) my mac HD has about 270 GB free out of 500 when i'm using Cross i usually close everything else but iTunes and sometimes chrome. the gaps usually occur when i load a new track, but sometimes even after loading the new track. Same problem IMO.

I am optimistic and hope we will get a solution for that soon. It would be 2 bad to give that nice controller back or away :/ really like it. And the software too, of course.
