On WinXP however, UMCP2 works fine. It's just the Win7 thing.

No Way!  They even recommend to use Win7 and i really like 7. Did such problems also appear with the first Pro Controller?

No Way! They even recommend to use Win7 and i really like 7. Did such problems also appear with the first Pro Controller?
No one seems to have reported any issues and Support said a couple of pages back there is very little difference between the two. One thing I noticed, when the UMCP2 is connected a new entry appears for it under "Audio Devices" in Device Manager. When I look at driver details it says the provider is Microsoft, which seems strange. MacBook Pro - 15" (Mid 2014)

Normal behavior, usbaudio.sys from Microsoft is the name of your driver and is needed to handle the hardware.

Tried it yesterday. It even had a standard Intel-Chipset driver from Windows itself installed, due to my notebook was not connected to the internet while installing. The Drop-Outs became less, but still were there.

Did you disable acpi from device manager? Is your laptop optimized for music?

I ALWAYS do that, before and while testing. But except this, I never had to do anything with other interfaces, and I used everything from cheap to very expensive. And, again, it even works with my old MSI VR602, with XP 32Bit on it and a very old single-core CPU. Are there any of you who use Win7, UMCP2 and have absolutely NO PROBLEMS?
