UPDATE: just tested it on a DELL Notebook with an i5 CPU, Win7, but 32 Bit...same problem! o.O
Can it be that the controller has a problem with Win7 genereally (although they recommend us to use it) ?
I will as some more friends and check it out on their notebooks.

My laptop is about 7-8 years old and i don't have any problem with win7 and U-Mix Control Pro 2. Did you tried LatencyMon or dpclat to check your system? http://www.resplendence.com/latencymonhttp://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtmlStelios, Greece

yeah :/ like i told ya...and I tested it on a second ThinkPad now, and same problem! So it's definitely not about the CPU...the CPU is fine! Maybe the Controller i received is defected?

One thing I did notice, the first time I connect the device up and started Cross the sound set up was set to 48000hz.
I changed this to 44100hz, like what I have my Hercules 4-Mx set to and it was fine.
Check this, don't know if this is anything to go on.
I've not tried this, have to say. When I was using timecode recordings used to sound awful on 44100hz though. Will try it next time.
