As far as i know ASIO is a background task so the processor scheduling should set to "background tasks"
j-kut wrote:also it´s a good idea to set the pagefiling to a fixed value (usually people set 1.5xof your physical RAM, so if your having 4Gb Ram set it to 6Gb for Start and End Value)
Sorry this advice was valid in Win98 times. Microsoft has improved the pagefile managment over the years. Today there is no need to change it anymore.
On these points the analysis of Marxon is correct. You don't need to modify paging value but you need to program your Windows for background work because Asio is in background and must keep some kind of priority over other tasks.

It usually does a lot. @Unc: I thought i was "all programs" in an english Windows, as Microsoft even explain it as "setting cpu ressources equal to all programs"

Clean Win7 on it, current chipset drivers (where the graphics are also included) installed. Slightly better, but still.
Which buffer size do you configure normally?

I see, thank you.
There is no firmware for the controller, right? The most current drivers are the 1.0.5 ones?
I tried nearly everything, but still I can not use it fluently.
The interesting thing is that connecting other interfaces (Rane, Vestax, Reloop) worked fine, why so with the U-Mix Control Pro 2?

That horrible feeling when you're slightly pleased someone else is having exactly the same problems as you but you know you really shouldn't. Watching this thread with interest....

haha damn it, boy! 10 pages and still no solution... :/ Even my old notebook with no dual-core intel celeron works nearly without dropouts, win xp...this one HAS to work fluently, as it did with other controllers, too. :/ It is not possible that the U-Mix is defected? o.O

It's a shame I don't have another controller to try to see if I still had the same problems. What CPU is in your laptop? Apologies if you've posted that previously. I hope reading all of that thread din't scramble your brain, it does when I try to read back through it for something I might've missed!
