Unfortunately I can't do much about that. I've got the latest drivers for it.

Tbh at your point I would go for a SSD now, see if it does the trick, if not send it back. *cough, amazon, cough*

All benchmark I have read on the subject are giving good credits to the CPU, I don't know what Acer did (or not) to have the computer running like that.
It's like you couldn't have the max power out of it.

I'm worried I've gone round in circles so much, changing settings etc that I've got it configured in a bad way now. Which means starting from scratch AGAIN. :evil:

I have thought about an SSD drive but my music collection now stands at 148GB and so a big enough drive would be more than I was prepared to invest in.
