It's right in the manual.... Section 9.2 - Snapping and quantizing Loops, Locators and Cue Points.

BTW, it's not uncommon to see this sort of behavior in other DVS software. ;)

From the manual:
With the beatgrid feature loops, locators, and cue points can be set either at the current playback position or they can automatically snap to the next beat, next 1/2 beat, next 1/4 beat or next 1/8 beat of the tracks’ beatgrid. The snap on/off settings and the snap value settings are global parameters that can be configured in the Snap section of the Sync zone. If the Sync zone is not visible, open the View menu and select Sync Zone.

And when you change the beat grid to the way it should be it lands where you want it. :) It all works together as a bit happy system. :D

The one thing i did learn is that when you try and open a LARGE folder of tunes whilst playing it makes CrossDJ crash and reset and your settings to default, including deleting all your nicely arranged samples....

Really?

Check to see if you have any files that are giving you problems or are corrupted.

FYI - I'm on a 2011 13" MBP (dual core i7 2.8GHz w/ 8GB RAM) and I just opened a folder with about 1500 videos in it, all from 8th Wonder (meaning some are crap and problematic) while playing a video (no external output ATM though), running the remote, and also posting this.

Took a few minutes to scan through the files but no crash.

Then again, what would you call 'large'? And is it internal, external and what file system?

Yep, after it did it the first time i purposely tried it again to see the results. It crashed again...

Admittedly, i only installed Cross yesterday and haven't had time to import/analyze/scan the whole 'Music' folder on the drive (which is an External btw - NTFS format) It has approx 70k of songs in it at around 500gb in size so maybe that was the problem. This is the drive i normally use as a back up for my windows machine, i have one mirrored that i use in OSX so will try that and see what happens. I know from using VDJ in the past it would occaisonally hang for a few seconds but first time i've had a programme crash like that.

Wait, you have 70k songs in a single folder?

Or are there 70K files TOTAL across multiple folders?

The second one ;)

Some have folders in folders, i.e. when you have a CD with multiple discs.

I know it's a fair amount but wouldn't have expected it to crash? I'm a mobile DJ hence the large amount of rubbish music
