There's not a mapping listed within the software - (Version 2.2.0)

Just Digital Jockey 1/2/3 and Spin! 2+

And there's no mention of a mapping being available when I did a search so I would have to say it's not likely there's one out - yet. :(

But it shouldn't be that difficult to map it so you can control the software with it. :)

The MIDI spec is documented in the manual pretty well. Actually, really well. They're showing both hex and decimal values... :D

working on it now. i most probably will have deck C/D questions for mixvibes support on this one, as this is my first full-on 4-deck controller!

I'm no XML master and I'm still learning Cross myself, but if you hit any stumbling blocks feel free to ask. I'll help as much as I can, and I'm sure there are others who will do the same. :) They've been real nice to be so far! :D

Hi, Christian. My questions may probably be more app-related initially, since I can only toggle C/D as sampler decks. I have to rtfm a bit more, but believe me, I'll be back with questions. :)
One more gig tonight and I'll continue the mapping (the easy part's almost over).

update:
- finished deck A section
- finished deck B section
- finished browser section
- finished mixer section

to do:
- FX section 1 and 2
- output mapping (anyone got documents for this? TM4 manual doesn't say much, and i have ZERO experience with XML syntax)
- sampler C and D section

question:
- the TM4, when left alone fro a minute or so, starts flashing all its LEDs, left to right and back, almost acting like a MIDI controller screen saver of sorts. it doesn't hamper the unit's operation, but it does get annoying after a while (it goes away temporarily if a control is moved). has anyone got a clue why this is happening, and how to get rid of it?

Hey,

it could be a internal routine of the controller or you have created a led output mapping and this is not working correct that it starts playing different MIDI notes but I think it is more option one that it is an internal function of the controller to get a nicer look.

And yes if you want to map LED outs you have to write them into the file which is xml. But it is not as tricky just copy and past the example command from the forum page and change the notes and do it for all the other leds ;). But create a copy of the file if it is broken you will not loose your self mapped part you currently have.

you are probably correct, it might be a LED demo mode. now, switching it off is the next problem:there's nothing in user documentation :(

update:
- finished effects section
- started output-mapping section (i hope this is not gonna be a pain in the bum)

to-do:
- finish input and output mapping for C & D section (hopefully this should go well as the controls are where A & B are)
- test

solution found:
- with regard to the funny LED demo mode, i found a workaround. with the old mapping i made, the output-section was empty (had no entries, just the section header and footer. it seems that mapping even a dummy output map sends an "initialize" command to the TM4 controller. so, for now, that funky demo mode is gone.
