Epic slow down with Reloop controller on Cross

Postby Dannybless on 05 Oct 2012, 10:08

Hi,

I'm looking for some advice as no matter what I do my setup slows down about 5 mins into playing. I'm using a Sony Vaio laptop, I3 processors 4gb ram which I would assume is more than enough power. I have connected a Reloop digital Jockey 2 interface edition. What happens is when I'm in the mix I get major slow down, IE when I move the faders or any button it takes about 20 seconds to complete at a snail speed.

I have formatted and re-loaded all my music. I have tried with and without the power adaptor for the controller but I'm really scratching my head. Any advice would be much appreciated as I would love to be able to use this software.

Oh I should probably mention that if I use my mouse to manipulate the Cross fader during slow down it does move freely which tells me this isn't a machine slow down thing.

I get no issue with virtual DJ with the same setup and have been using virtual and traktor for a number of years on this machine.

Sorry to hear, can you give the exact specs of your PC and maybe what a list of what´s in your auto-start.

Also, are your driver uptodate? http://www.reloop.com/reloop-digital-jockey-2-ie

it also happened to me when i first installed win8, but i soon found out that it was win8's background task (i had set it to use compression on my data drive/partition) that was slowing things down. you might want to check the resource monitor to find out which tasks are taking cpu time.

Have you tried using a powered USB hub?

I haven't yet but will try.

I find it strange as Serato, Virtual DJ and Traktor all work fine with my current setup so it's confusing me why it's doing this.

I will update USB drivers and try a hub and report back.

Very strange.
