Mediabase crash

Postby mixnsmile on 14 Nov 2012, 15:30

Hi guys. My problem is when I analize songs. If I analize more than 250 songs or videos my Vfx crashes...BUT the demo version doest not, I can analyze till 700 songs or videos and it works, what is the reason for that?

I have the Vfx demo version in one computer and the complete version in other, but both computers are I7 8gb ram windows 7, there is no technical difference between them.

Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to do a bulk analize? If I analize a song it takes close to 1 minute to unfreeze the screen and the controller. The Cross fader still works but just about everything on the Vfx Control stops working. Once the screen comes back everything is fine. If i could do a bulk analize I could let it do it at night.

Select them all (ctrl+A) and right click Analyse (choose what to analyse).

I definately must have a driver conflict. I did an optimization on the laptop that speed things up a little. If I did anslyse 2 songs it went pretty quick if I tried to analyse 30 songs Vfx would freeze. It would keep analysing though. After about 30 minutes the 30 songs would all be analysed and Vfx would work like it should. But then If I try to analyse another song sometimes it would analyse it quick sometimes it would freeze for about 90 seconds until it finished analysing.

Hard to spot.
Can you try to batch analyse them by type/extension/codec ?
I mean do the avi, then the mp4, then the vob, and so on.
Also the same format can handle different codec (divx, xvid, mjpeg) so it can be one of them with a weird encoding settings that gave these issues.
