Vfx mediabase problem

Hi guys. I know how to import playlists, but I am adding new files very often and i do not know how to add media to the files I already have in the media base. One option for me is to add media to my folders in the laptop and then doble click on those files on Vfx and add them to the folder, but then I have to search for the new files in the media base and analyse them one by one, it is too much work.

Is there a easy way to add media to the mediabase, without altering the old files in the mediabase?

A media is a file, so I don't understand your issue.
To add new file to the mediabase simply right click 'import' on the folder you want from the explorer panel.
Then with the 'last date added' column you will easily found the new file into your mediabase.
