Denon DN-MC6000 combojog

Postby rudydj66 on 30 Oct 2012, 19:13

Hi everyone!

I recently purchased this beautiful baby by Denon!

But I can't use it with Cross DJ as the jogwheels are not mapped to control the pitch bend, as with any cdj for example... I can scratch, but if I turn the jog wheels, I can't use it so sync my mix...

I need to use traktor at the moment but I really love Cross DJ which is, in my opinion, way better than traktor...

Can anyone tell me how to correctly map my mc6000 to have a working combo jog??

Thank you in advance!

Try CrossDJ in CD mode and see if you can Pitch bend with your jogs

The jogs on my controller a Hercules 4-Mx work this way - Vinyl Mode, they Scratch, CD Mode they Pitch Bend.

Give it a try

Try to map it on your own in the Cross DJ preferences (MIDI tab). There are different parameters for the jogs, try them out and see if they suit your needs.

Well the thing is I tried to map it using cd jog and then scratch jog, but there's of course a conflict cause one of the MIDI control is already used... So I guess I don't have that much of a choice... The software has a bug and it looks like there's nothing I can do about it...

Pretty easy, you map one button on the MC to enable scratch-mode, I´m pretty shure that´s how it works with TRaktor as well....

Simply duplicate the integrated MC6000 mapping and see how it is mapped.

Yes I already tried this... I had trouble with my 4-mx before and successfully mapped it but I don't find any way to do it with my denon so... I guess I'm gonna stick with traktor for a while :(

What is your issue exactly ?
3 points have already been ironed :
- start from built-in mapping
- jog is combojog
- you need a control to switch from scratch to bend : the command is 'Vinyl mode'.
What do you need beside that ?
