U-Mix Control Pro 2 set up issues

So i've been eagerly awaiting my control pro 2 and cant even manage to get started!!

Just trying standalone to start with

Usb to laptop
Outputs 1/2 to external speakers (phono)

In audio preferences have selected U-Mix Control Pro 2. Gives this error

Error while opening speakers "bad format"

Any ideas??

I am selecting control pro 2 from directsound section as it does not appear is ASIO - could this be the reason??

glad to hear you getting the control pro 2 , have you installed the drivers from the install cd , there is a driver that has been updated for that unit,, other than checking that you have the proper firmware, i think its also on the cd
might need a little more info as to whats going on,

can you post any screen shots

Hey thanks it was the control panel all sorted now i think just trying to get to grips with everything else!!
