opening ver 1.7 lost collection

now the thought process would be to have a anylized collection by say 1.7,,load it into Cross 2.0 before closing /no anylazation by 2.0, and open with ver 1.7 of course have the file name notate the version application

Perhaps you can have the instructions that you have just relayed to us in the download section of each upgrade so that this does not happen to many people. To be honest with you, this is the first I have read about how the collections operate!

No because you're not supposed to rolling back.
Simply duplicate/save your collection before upgrading. If it doesn't work for you and you need to roll back then reload the previously saved/duplicated one into the older version of Cross.

daniel clark, simply point all your versions to the same peak folder.
