timecode issue

All three have been checked with the equipment I have, the wiring has been plugged in and out several times and gone over more than that, I don't have any other vinyl wires to try but I don't think they will be broken on both sides. Is there anything else it could be? control vinyl's maybe? or a huge coincidence that something has gone wrong with both of the decks? I have checked everything over and over also un- installed the software and re installed. Still the same lines show up every time and I am unable to play a song.

Does the Maya 44 soundcard have a control panel of any kind? Plenty of people seem to have had problems upgrading to Cross 2.0 and needing to mute monitors to stop the timecode signal playing out loud. This was in the U-Mix 46 control panel, but wondered if it could be something similar?

Your issue is not the same :
- with the U46 they have correct input signal going thru the outputs
- you can't have a good signal, so going thru or not will not change the timecode reading

The only way for me to have the same signal as yours is to send the same channel on 1&2, that mean mono.
You've got both channel merging somewhere from the stylus to the deck outputs.

ok so updated all the drivers on my computer re installed everything, I think there must be a clash with maya 44, I've totally lost the plot trying to fix this haha taken it in to so many people no better info!

I could make the Maya 44 run on a W7 computer with the 2.8.40 drivers with no issue.
I already told you what was your issue : you're sending mono signals into the soundcard. This is what the graphic are saying me into your Vinyl panel..

Ok i know this sounds totally beginner but how am i able to fix the mono issue? I'm trying to find answers online but can't. Any help with this and my maya 44 would be amazing

Tried the device on another laptop still without any luck, still no luck trying to change sending the soundcard to the right settings from mono also.

to confirm your issue:


-play regular vinyl on your turntables
-listen to it thru headphones

-> do you hear sound on the left and the right?

If yes, use your mixer´s balance (if available) and turn it all the way to the left then to the right. Does the sound cut out if it´s on one side only?

You can have sound on both side and still mono. This is usually an issue into the wiring from headshield/stylus to tonearm.

Stereo is the difference between both channels (left & right), the timecode need that.
