Disable column artwork on Mediabase.
Maybe this solves the problem.

I discovered when you have many videos (+500), the program crashes.
Disabling column artwork on Mediabase, my system did not freeze. (+4000 Videos)

Please try it and see if it normalizes

Nice hint. I do have more than 500 videos, but they don't have artwork, this could explain things.

Besides the artwork tab, leaving a maximum of 250 files in each folder (video or audio), the research is fast and does not crash.
