Not been able to get anything done, i did have a Vestax VCI-400 that ended up getting replaced and then went down again with more faults,so i have gone for what seems like the best controller out their, the Numark 4trak, Now i will be able to figure out how to map the basic controls, but configuring jogs seems like a mission, has anybody else got this controller setup with the jogs ?
And also wondering as this controller only has a master oupute LEDs would it be possible in Cross DJ to map the visuals for deck A & B to each side of this master LED, does this depend on the controller or Cross ? , just so i know before i waste time trying
Thanks

Mapping the jogs is a mission, I have never liked that either! Unfortunately I can not help - sry! Regarding the LEDs: while creating your mapping you need to map the (Cross' ) MIDI outputs like all the LEDs too. Here I can't help either, but it is possible!

Thanks BB The led is a relief to know, the jogs are going to be that mission, I had a 10 min mess last week, and its all to do with fine tuning those Numeric settings iam guessing, i got them kinda working, but just not enough forward/backward movement or as smooth as they should, so at least iam on the correct path, going to spend the whole week getting this sorted, even if i have to try and keep a record of every variation

Okay still trying to figure out the jogs, I have jogs that are touch sensitive, But Iam unsure of which setting i should use, i have tried them all but to go further i need know i have selected the correct setting here, its catch 22 if your guessing. 1) My guess is that i need bi directional touch setting is this correct ? or ? 2) i am then showed for events 1- CCO CH2 2- PW CH2 3- N2C CH2 Then my options to select for my controller are Touch Move forward Move back Is their any genral rule for what order to what event or is that more so going to depend on my controller assignments ?
as far as the presets options go for my jog assignments, i have figured out the more basic reguarding setting these numerical value's on other similar MIDI assignments, but for the jogs it gets quite confusing, when it shoves Letters in to the equation instead of just numerical, this really looses me, trying to find the first center value to left to say move jog back and then to the right to move jog forward, obviosuly i may not even have the correct combination threw these settings as with the above formentioned, but iam just hoping their is a genral rule to look out for, to at least get me in the right direction for trying too setup my jogs.
Any advice what so ever is appreciated, thankyou.

You'd better start to use any Numark mapping and see which one seems ok for the jog. When done, duplicate and delete/modify everything else from the mapping. The mission for me are always the MIDI outputs.

You need an other software to decipher what is sending by the unit. PC : midox Mac : midipipe Presets selection depend of the behavior of the received messages.

I have been trying to find a MIDI implemtation Chart for the 4trak, MIDI Ox seem squite daunting from what i can remember, But i must try & Learn, again thanks,
One last question My Numark 4trak has a seperate unit for fx and it shows up in my MIDI in/outs as a second unit, and it sends a signal, but their is no add/assign parameter available. the fx unit runs threw the main controller but it still shows up as two devices in the Cross MIDI in/outs.

Just to add i had to select the 14bit value for the main unit, but the fx unit 14 bit value will not let me check the box, dont know if this will have any baring or give you any clues to helping me.
