I don't think it is switching to the other asio.
When you remove an asio soundcard, Cross will switch to the default soundcard which is usually not an asio one.
Never said I did this during live performances. Just tried to report a strange behaviour with audio routing which happens when I setup for the current attached devices.
The output switching is related to asio4all, not Cross. Cross doesn't choose outputs, it can only choose a soundcard.
OK; so this is not related to the issue as I do not change this. I only use the control panel for the current selected and active 'ASIO4ALL v2'
May be the soundcard need a reboot after changing setting into asio4all. Can you test with the original asio drivers of the behringer to see if it does this also ?
If I unplug the USB the device the only thing happening is that the track is stopped. Only repluging the USB device will start the track to continue.
This mean you have only one soundcard, because it would have switched to the integrated one. Why it doesn't switch on your system I don't know why.
All the time the USB device is listed as output 1 while using the ASIO4All. using the slider sets the audio route back from the Realtek to the USB. Do not understand this either.
So something is happening within asio4all.
When you change the value INSIDE asio4all, a device disapear and it switch to another one.
But the soundcard is still asio4all !!!
I use different setups. Checking for routing and avaliable channels is easiest when playing music?
Indeed.
2 stereo IN and 2 Stereo OUT only?
I do not have a 4IN 4OUT soundcard. So to my best knowledge ASIO4ALL is the only way to generate this for me.
See the ASIO panel. I only have 1 output option for the Realtek there to switch ON/OFF. The laptop actually only provides one stereo output connector.
Why don't you de-select all the ins/outs you're not really using ?
Are you using input ? No...
10 outputs ? No...
Stick to the needed ones.
What is the base samplerate of both devices ? clock ?
asio4all is trying to do ONE souncard with TWO different devices, not the easiest job to do imo, performances wise...
