Good Newbie mix, Loving that riff that comes in around 9.50-10 mins in, also think you had a real good go with Subfocus going into DJ fresh,Just teasing it and working the mix, with a little more practice, you will find your fingers and ears, just become that more Judged In your exit points and vica in some cases in the mix thus in turn you then work your EQ and effects to Bridge those section, or smooth them out, but like i say Good newbie mix, go nothing to Pull down, You put your heart and soul into it, Well done.

My advice as with the First two tracks you mixed and the little weave you done, that is the key to practice, if you dont Push it and expereiment with sound then you will not know what works and what does not, the more you push it the more you will learn, go overboard enjoy mashing and learning how to blend, then as time goes on, you will know just how and when to pull it all together, and get a good merge with the smooth and the cut up mixing/Beat mangling.

1 st most important thing, make sure you can always here your mix in your headphone evenly,to do this you skip back and too,From master and Mixing track/s Continually at diffrent stages in your mixing transition using cue mix, so you can see where you mix needs to end up soundwise, and where its at and been etc, its kind of a sneaky peek into the futre of that particular bit in the Mix, After time these split seconds become natural at helping you make the wright choices In the split seconds it takes to get a good mix blend or achieve what you feel in the music and where it is going, then in turn you learn how to work the eq and fx to your advantage,
2) Eq and faders and gain, These are too be played with, The gain is important not just a static pre fx, But also as you work your faders and xfader, etc, you will Learn how to ajust the gain threw out to allow for juggling/slamming your beats in and out With nice blends that sit well together

3) also for (practice purposes) dont just Pre arrange your Music sets,Sometime just go at your collection like a mad man and learn how to get out of tight spots, this will allow you to be more flexable when mixing a pre setup playlist and in mind set not always playing the obviouse tracks back to back will open up a few doors in the mix,. making for an Interesting set.

These are my learnings since 1986, although now we have the sync Button, but never the less i Reckon if you follow this Code, you wont just be another DJ! that pushes that sync becuase its easy, but becuase you are creative and Love to share your emotion, and sync gives you Extra time to do your thing.

PS: Nothing here is To say your mix is not epic,If its enjoyed then its epic,I will never really trash a mix, and believe me their are poeple who who i have know for years and years, and they just dont have it,They just cant mix up a journey in any enjoyable Manor, boring or all over the show selection wise, but not in a good way, you still praise them on something, as its their joy and its personal feeling they are sharing, but somehow i think you have alot more enjoyable mixes to come :D

No worries,
The post may still inform a few others,
and Freestyle this mix then its a good go for drum n bass first time round,If you are likley to pull out a clanger it would be with drum n bass more so, Can be tricky mixing on the fly.

Maybe one tip then in your case 15 years as with what i do, i always love getting a new batch of tunes, and just going for it freestyle, so much adrenalin from mixing the unkown, i love its prob the best way to practice our technique and split second judgments.
