Postby Activated Soundwave on 05 Mar 2012, 19:07

Hi
Iam a new user and i have just setup Cross DJ using the Mapping i found here For the VCI-400, but my jog wheels do not work ,Can anybody tell me if they are supposed to work or this is how It is setup, and if the later, is this becuase the jogs cant be mapped or down to the MIDI mapping template itself, or me missing something.
Thank you for your time.

If it is this one [Vestax VCI-400] MixVibes Cross 1.7.1 then you have the right mapping. If the jobs won't work with that it seems that they are not mapped and you have to do it on your own. There are tutorials online at youtube, search for "mixvibes MIDI mapping" or check the Mixvibes YouTube channel.

Cheers,
A plus,
Steve

Are the jogs touch sensitive?

If they are I can do a screen shot later of my jog settings for you to work off (I'm at work at the moment). I have a Hercules 4-Mx with touch sensitive jogs.

Although it's a different controller the jog settings will be similar.

I've looked at a few controller jog settings especially the ones with touch sensitive jogs and I think I may be wrong, they do vary quite a lot, so I don't think the jog settings for my Hercules 4-Mx will help you out much, but here they are

There is no harm in trying mate ;)

I'm just wondering if they are the offical mappings for the VCI-400 then why don't the jogs work on yours.

I'm sure the team wouldn't allow them to be downloaded until they are happy with mapping and have been tested

It's a strange one....

When your new replacement unit arrives make sure you install the latest firmware and then we'll go from there....

Hopefully you won't have any problems with it ;)

Jogs are working on the mapping, be sure to have latest firmware, use deck A & B and also to correctly set your touch sensitive knobs.
