I am using 2 Pioneer cdjs. 800mk2s. Is there a way to enable master tempo/ key lock, while using Cross? Like being able to change the tempo or bpm without changing pitch or key?

Hey,
At Cross you have the options pitch, master and hybrid which is a combination of them and sounds really good.
Please do not enable this function on the cdj because this manipulates the timecode signal so Cross can't work with it.
Use the master or hybrid mode on Cross. It works good and sounds also nice with higher tempo controll.

It is Speed-Tempo-Hybrid in Order Speed - normal without Master Tempo Tempo - Master Tempo on Hybrid - Combination of both. I suggest to use the Hybrid, so if you make a backspin it will work. User Manual explains the Hybrid function very well

Speaking for myself I do not answer those questions because it is stolen time! It is written down in the manual (Chapter 9.1) and people come here and ask first instead of reading...I hate it!

Me too, but, I guess I help, for some Karma, rather than ignore them.
Its good to give them quick answer, and tell them to look for it in the manual.
Sometimes people ask things I am not sure of I mostly feel some courage to find it out |

I don't know for you guys but the Master Tempo on my software doesn't seem do to the job. (Using a Denon MC4000). When I accelerate the track, even for less than 4%, the pitch goes up like 12 semi-tones. Hybrid is chaos too. I have to reset the key to +/- 0 semi tones before starting the track every time I adjusted the bpm.
(I used the mapping found in the forum)
Is this how it's supposed to work or am I doing something wrong ? Also, why isn't there a "Keylock" like on Traktor or a master tempo function like the one on cdjs ?

I made the current map for MC4000. It is an un-official map and you are welcome to modify it to your needs. However, before you do that, I suggest you read the documentation that I provided. Everything is there even the indicator for key lock.
