Delete Cue Points

? I was just giving a hint how to find informations about running programmes as administrator?!

Hi Blackrock, I have worked out a way to run Cross as an administrator but it means that I have had to disable UAC which is very iritating as you have to keep agreeing to stuff just to open programs.

So, is there any other way to run Cross as an administrator, after all I have only one account on my laptop which is an administrator account?

when you right click the shortcut the opening tab should have a selection to run as admin,,,try that,,see if it makes a difference

Hi Daniel I tried that first it didn't seem to work. Do you have UAC sisabled?

no i dont ,leaving certian securitys in play,,I just open the program that way and have re postioned cue points in the fashion decribed above.. also noted that they can be set by hitting the cue button when the play is paused,,thus needing to be reset to the original location. they stay where put unless i make the mistake of hitting cue whill in pause

Hey,

Disabling UAC and running as administrator are not the same. When UAC is enabled and run a program as administrator you will not see all information tabs and also the program have rights to write to protected user areas and also running and installing drivers and so on.
But on a system where you only run known software you can disable the UAC. I never use this function because it stops me at working but for no power users it is the Ultimate secure for the computer.

Hi Daniel, so the Administrator rights thing is only just a work around. Now I know how to enable/disable UAC I can change it before I use Cross.

But why can't it be built into the program that when you install Cross you are given full read/write rights?? Surely the idea of Cross & U-Mix Control Pro are that they are plug & play?

Most people who buy this stuff don't want to be messing around with the settings on their PC all the time!

want to think its for user protection, if the program turnes it off then it might inadvertenly allow a compromise to system , where as is you choose to then its your choice to allow that postion

This is technical not possible. This function is in windows totally integrated and can't be disabled by programs which are not from Microsoft.
You can set specific parameters at program's so some messages will not come all but generall it is not possible for developers to disable it like the user can disable the UAC.
So technical is it not possible for current. To what I currently know is that developers can signature their product at Microsoft but this is very expensive and is needed on every new version so not supportable for this type of software where you get updates for free.

But normal it should not Affact Cross by running on a computer.
