Main/Headphone/Monitor Out problems....

Postby 8dra4 on 18 Nov 2011, 04:07

I am having one hell of a time trying to dig through all these pages to find a clear way to upgrade my Cross LE software (if that is even possible). Also searching for help in the forums with the cue/monitor/headphone output not working isn't producing any leads for me. I found a faq link that was no longer there. I have an alienware m15x with IDT surround sound audio:
~High-Definition 5.1 Surround Sound Audio Controller
~IDT 92HD83
~Stereo conversion 24-bit (analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog)
Speaker
~two audio output/headphone connectors and one audio input/microphone connector
I have upgraded the audio driver and I still can't configure the software to support a headphone monitor. Do I need an aftermarket soundcard driver? I suppose that I could feed one headphone out back into the microphone in and use the other headphone jack for monitoring, but that just seems too complicated. I just can't seem to figure out why I can't configure the Mixvibes Cross Discovery DJ LE, or whatever name it is being called, software to recognize both as separate outputs. Has to be the audio driver I assume, how has everyone fixed this in the past? Yes, I am a newbie to all this tech and yes, I am sure there is a better place to post this but spending two days getting no where near a solution has demanded that I try to get answers directly. Anyone? Help? Thank you.. :)

Have I missed something? Why is it that my soundcard is not recognized in the routing/configuration menu for the cue/monitor? Why is there no way for me to use my headphone jack to monitor tracks not faded into the main channel? What the crap is this? I have seen tons of posts about routing but nothing on problems with the soundcard drivers themselves, where is the problem? The software recognizing the driver, or the soundcard?

What is your operating system? How many outputs has your audio interface and how much of them can you use/adress?

Here is what you need:

2 stereo channels - one for the master, one for the cue

ASIO4ALL to aggregate two one channel audio interfaces (PC)

And if you are asking yourself why no one has answered: This problem pops up nearly daily in the help forums and there are los of threads with solutions inside!

From what I know you are not allowed to update your software, it is a one shot software bought by the hardware vendor.
Viele Grüße,
Cheers,
A plus,
Steve
