iTunes Empty In Cross

I had originally posted this in General Chat several months ago. I was never able to resolve my issue and was waiting to see if the next release fixed it (I was on 2.6, now on 3.0).

Issue:

My iTunes browser in Cross appears empty after the first session. The very first time I loaded 2.6 I was able to see my iTunes files. The second time I opened Cross my iTunes browser was empty, and every time after that. My file is properly routed in the directory. I just upgraded my OS from Mountain Lion to Maverick. The first time I opened Cross after the upgrade I saw files in my iTunes browser again! However, the second time I opened it it was empty again. Once again I checked the library file location and it is correct. Tonight I upgraded to 3.0, however that hasn't solved the problem, I still don't see any files within the Cross iTunes browser.

HELP! I haven't been able to use Cross since I bought it because of this (my workflow is based around playing out of my iTunes playlists).

Sorry to hear you cannot use Cross as you want to yet. As iTunes integration is there for a long time, likely some setting is wrong only.

Can't tell you which as I have to little Mac knowledge. Likely someone who knows will reply soon.

Hey,

are you using a iTunes library splitter Software? this can cause those issues?
Otherwise check if the user rights are correct that Cross has the rights to open this file. On mavericks there is a new user right Management which blocks sometimes file Access if the Software is not from the MacApp Store.

I'm not using a splitter.

Traktor - sees iTunes fine. Rekordbox - sees iTunes fine. Cross - iTunes is empty.

i have the same problem, but i solved it...you have to load a previous iTunes collection and then load the actual, then you see all your tracks in iTunes like in traktor or rb.

WOW Really? I cannot believe I have to do this every time I start up Cross to access my playlists. This needs to be fixed pronto! Very unprofessional SMH

Well, I will remain hopeful. I just do not want to spend hours of my time on this :(
So anyway I think this board is perfect for it. No one wants to point their iTunes folder twice everytime they open Cross.
So here is where I am at, somethings I noticed.
1. I indeed created a fake iTunes library pointed there after opening Cross, then pointed Cross to the the real file and that is when it loads the library.
2. No problems on my PC just my Mac (Maverick and iTunes 11.2.2
3. Does not happen with my other DJ softwares
4. ALSO not sure if its related but I imported Traktor playlists to collection, works nice cue points are all there but when I load that same file through iTunes it loads it like its a new file and analyzes. Worse NO cue points! (but I think this point needs a new topic)

Hi, I am also having the issue.
I do not know how to fix it. I started using Cross DJ as of version 3.0. It never worked for me. I am using Mavericks. I do not understand the workaround with "older" media library. Please advise.
