i'm not sure what the Mac equivalent of that is, but i am very sure that the problem is not Cross itself, but some process running in the background.
You do know that Mac is a totally different beast than a windows PC right. The ONLY reason people pay top premium bucks is because if anything Macs are supposed to be ultimately stable and crashes should not happen!
If I can get the same sh*t happening on a MBP that I can have happen to me on a windows brick that costs half as much (and I have a few of those too), then why on earth would I bother getting a Mac.
To add to that, there isn't any other "strange" process running, for the simple reason that the only thing I do with the Mac is music/DJ stuff.
In short, this is not supposed to happen and I would REALLY like someone from support to acknowledge the problem and suggest a solution or at least tell me it's been worked on/looked at.
I'm an avid advocate of Cross (DJ) on another platform, but I hope this doesn't cause me to give that up and revert back to Traktor (which I would hate to to, but which has ALWAYS been stable on my Mac).
Needless to say that if it can crash upon quitting, there is no reason it can't crash mid program.
I have a gig tomorrow and I have just checked if my Traktor is still running, ran the last tracks I bought (few months worth) through analyse and checked all file and controller settings. I am seriously contemplating NOT using it for tomorrow's gig. Which is a real downer I can tell you.
But you need total confidence that the tools you use professionally are 100% stable and WILL NOT fail you in the middle of a gig.
Hope to get some kind of reply soon.
