Squeaky Platters on Brand New Discover DJ?

Postby rytymu on 27 Mar 2010, 09:29

I just bought a brand new Discover DJ, and the left platter has a slight squeak to it. Has anyone tried WD40? I don't want to mess anything up, so I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it... Does anyone else have this issue? Does it get worse? I can't really return it to a store because I bought it off of eBay...

Has anyone tried it? How much better is it?

Hi rytymu,

I haven't tried WD40, but I think it'd be safer if you used a type of electronics spray such as DeoxIT so that you won't cause harm to your controller.

Yeah Deoxit would be a better choice. It's more electronics safe and works better for conductive plastics.
