there is a cracking noise in the sound

I play from vinyl's and the sound is cracking sometimes(quite often). I tried a brand new Vinyl. its not the problem.
Any ideas?

Could be that you are using Direct x for your sound management (it has high latency properties, and maybe a source for the sound crackling). You could try Asio 4all drivers found here:

After installing, make sure you select this option in DVS sound managment panel ; changing it from the 'direct x' option to 'asio 4all'.
