Alright, got it to calibrate!!

I read about this in a lot of posts while I was trying to figure out the last issue- what to do now?!?

Open the U46 control panel and mute the inputs

Sorry, I had to get something to eat- I haven't eaten anything in over 30 hrs!!
I went to "All programs--U46MKII Control Panel" opened it & nothing happened. I clicked on the icon on my system tray, got the "panel board" to open, but it's not letting me do anything there!
I'm REALLY not trying to be a bother, but it seems like nothing wants to cooperate with me (except for you, of course!).

is your soundcard on? when openning the control pannel

i would reboot plug the soundcard into another USB port
turn it on and let it install

not sure if you have turnned of UAC but would be worth while

Hi there !

I'v quickly read this topic and saw different things. Here are my comments.

First the Cross Pack is delivered with a built-in u46 driver that doesn't appear seperately in "Add/Remove programs".
Then you don't need to download any other driver, except if you're a psycho-scratcher who absolutely need the lowest latency ever.... (ESI driver allow to have lower latencies but most of the users don't need such latencies !)
By the way, installing the ESI driver may prevent the built-in driver from properly working !

Second, no need to manually mute the u46 inputs monitoring with Cross.
It does it for you !
You basically don't need the u46 control panel.

Thus, your issue's really strange...

Check your Cross mixer is well configured:
on each channel strip, you got a switch to select Line/Player, used to play regular vinyls/cds. These switches must be set to Player.

If still the problem, are you really sure this "beep" is the timecode signal passing thru the soundcard direct monitoring ? Cause I can't see any reason why ...

Hey

when you have DVS 7.218 or above you should load the library over the Top Menu. Data -> Mediabase -> iTunes Mediabase Import.

If this don't work check the decoder.ini in the Mixvibes Folder if this line is there:

.aac .mp4 .m4a      ; dshowaudio decoder

If not add it. After that MixVibes should load the iTunes media.
[EDIT] And the m4a Codec should be installed to. If not MixVibes can't play the songs.[EDIT]
