Calibration/Deck Recognition Problems... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Postby CINTRON on 04 Mar 2010, 05:10

For some reason, Mixvibes isn't recognizing my right deck. It recognizes my left deck- kinda!
When I calibrate, the screen will only let me enter one input at a time. When I'm under left control deck & select the input, it's displaying "U46DJ 1/U46DJ 2". I hit play on my left deck, it recognizes it & calibrates.
When I'm under right control deck & select the input, it displays "U46DJ 1/U46DJ 2". I hit play on my right deck & I get nothing- BUT, if I hit play on my LEFT deck, it recognizes it & calibrates it! As if it were cross-wired or something, BUT IT'S NOT!!!
Even with all that said, got to mix & using that same left deck, I go to play under the "line mode", hit play on my left deck... NOTHING!!!!
What's going on with this??? Did I chose to buy the wrong program??
AND WHY DOESN'T MIXVIBES HAVE AN ACTUAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT NUMBER TO CALL & ACTUALLY TALK TO SOMEONE?!?!?!?!?!?!
Yep, officially aggravated now.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I just took a deep breath... better now!
I use a Gateway laptop with Intel Centrino Duo & Windows Vista.
I have 2 Pioneer CDJ-800MK2 decks & 1 Pioneer DJM-400 mixer.
And thank you for the welcome & your help!!!

Okay, now this thing's only recognizing my inputs as "Left/Right"... & I haven't even touched it!! After I saw that, I shut it all off, rewired everything (AGAIN!), restarted & still the same thing!!
I'm gonna keep at this all night, but if I can't get it resolved by midday, it's going back- simple as that!
I was really excited about my choice, too! I did a lot of research & observing before I made my decision to chose Cross & I think that's the main reason I'm so upset- I thought I made the right choice...
Somebody PLEASE prove me right!!!

I guess I know why. You should have it configured as in my picture below. The left deck uses the inputs 1 and 2 and the right deck (as you can see in my pic) uses the input 3 and 4. If you configure your Cross that way you should be able to configure both decks and play on both simultanously.

If this does not help it is important to get back with different infos so that I or someone else can help you! Don't forget: If no one replys it does not automatically mean that no one knows a solution, sometimes the thread passes without having seen it ;)

Steve
