Just got Mixvibes today & have an event Fri- PLEASE HELP ME!

I just recieved my Mixvibes Cross Pack today & VERY EXCITED!!!! I installed the software, went through the initial setup & when I go to configure, it stays at 0% on both sides. I have a Gateway laptop & use Pioneer CDJ-800MK2 decks with a Pioneer DJM-400 mixer.
Also, I use iTunes as my music source BUT I DO NOT HAVE A MAC!!! I use a Gateway laptop, like I stated earlier & I can't figure out how to integrate my library either!
Basically, I need help with everything!!!!!
I have an event to DJ THIS FRIDAY (March 5, 2010) & really need to have this setup & practice a bit before then...
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Make sure you have downloaded the latest version from the download section of the forum
make sure you have the Audio Tab set to be using the U46
within preferences on the viynl/CD tab
Ensure that the Control media is set to MV CD

retry calibrating the control CD's after that you should get a higher %


as far as iTunes and intergrating your media its really easy

on the bottom right hand side of the screen you will see 5 buttons
Collection, info, Playlists, Explorer, iTunes
next to each of these buttons is a arrow
pressing this arrow will alow you to have mutiple tabs open ie iTunes and collection
Click on iTunes and Cross will scan your iTunes library and you will then see an everyday iTunes screen

you can select 1 or more tracks right click and select add to collection

your media will then be listed in the collection tab
you can then right click and Analise peak and BPM

Thank you, Abitmessie!! Your help is greatly appreciated & very helpful! I was able to get the iTunes quickly & easily, just like you said!
However, I'm still having problems. (By the way, I just got the software today, so I'm sure I have the latest version.)
For some reason, when I go to calibrate the discs, it won't allow me to enter both inputs- it's only letting me enter them one at a time. On top of that, it's only recognizing my left deck. I enter the input for the left control deck & hit play on my left deck & it calibrates at 100%. I enter the input for the right control deck & hit play on my right deck & I get nothing! BUT, if I hit play on my left deck while I'm still under the input for the right control deck, it reads it & calibrates it. I'm completely lost!! I've got everything connected properly, so I don't know what to do from here. Think you got something up your sleeve for this issue? I REALLY hope you do!

Here's another fun bit of information I just found out... I load a song & it will only play from the "player mode." When I switch it over to "line mode" & press play from my left deck (Which is STILL the only one this program wants to recognize), I'm getting nothing!!
I'm starting to get a little frustrated & stressed out right now...

the CD in the Cross Pack may not be the latest version
best to download 1.3.2
Line mode is for bypass function allowing normal CD to be played


can you screen shot the viynl/cd tab
audio tab
and the U46 control pannel windows and post them so i can see whats going on!

That's EXACTLY what happened- they sent me Cross 1.2.5!!!!!!! I just tried to download 1.3.2... why do I have to REPAY $175??

you dont have to pay for incremental updates

also which driver are you using for the u46 sound card?

That's something I couldn't figure out. I went to "control panel" on my computer, to "add/remove programs". I looked for "MixVibes-U46MKII Driver" & NOTHING with the name "MixVIbes" was even there!! The only thing related was Cross 1.2.5- that's when I realized they sent me an outdated version!!
I hate to sound like an idiot, but I just don't know what else to do?!?
Should I uninstall Cross 1.2.5 before I download 1.3.2?
By the way, thank you SO much for your time & effort- this is really important to me!!

Leave 1.2.5 installed
Uninstal the u46 drivers if installed
reboot if you uninstall the drivers.
Download 1.3.2
Download the U46mk2 drivers

Install the u46 Drivers following the prompts
ie down turn the soundcard on until prompted by the install app

Install 1.3.2

GO into preference
Choose Audio device to be ixVbies U46 ASIO
set up your cd players in the viynl/cd tab
change Cross routing to external Mixer!

It doesn't matter if it's 1.2.5, as messie said, you can update (for free) to the latest version. It's available in the downloads section. Also, since you're using the U46, try the 3.0 driver from here: http://download.esi-audio.com/?w=esi&p=26&g=2&l=en
